AXIOM REPORTS FIFTH ePDS USER SUMMIT FILLED TO CAPACITY
Axiom Software and the ePDS User Community met to learn about and discuss current and future initiatives and direction at the company.
VALHALLA, NY – December 28, 2011 -- Axiom Software announced today that its 5th Annual ePDS User Summit, held on September 22 and 23, was once again filled to capacity and got rave reviews from participants. The focus of this year’s Summit was what the future holds for technology and what that technology can do to continue to make our mutual business interests successful.
Highlighting this year’s event was the announcement of a new ERP solution for the distribution industry, cleverly code-named: Valhalla. Valhalla will take advantage of the new advances being made in hardware and software technology every day. It will contain all of the great features already packaged within their current ERP solution, ePDS, and so much more. Axiom will be hosting focus groups with its existing clientele throughout the design process to gather user input in order to create the best possible solution for the distribution industry. Axiom’s plan is to launch Valhalla sometime in 2015.
At the Summit, Axiom introduced several new ideas for future development and enlisted the help of the user community to shape these ideas into valuable tools. These features include a new Opportunity Tracking system to better track sales opportunities and ePDS/Stock, a repository of inventory data that enables ePDS clients to selectively share their inventory with other ePDS customers and to automate sourcing and acquisition of parts between participating ePDS customers.
Axiom also introduced several new features in ePDS that were the direct result of discussions from the prior year’s Summit. For example, Kellie Righini, an Axiom Account Manager and ISO Certified Auditor, worked with the Axiom developers throughout 2011 to revamp the discrepant material module resulting in a seamless integration of the RMA processes with the customer complaint and corrective action functionality. Likewise, David Kiley, Manager of Customer Service, demonstrated the new contracts coming to maturity features, also added to the suite of ePDS tools based on last year’s feedback. Mr. Kiley also introduced some great new Customer Service initiatives such as the ePDS User Online Forum, where ePDS users can share ideas and information with other members of the user community and Axiom Cares, a new customer service program designed to provide a higher level of customer service through a personal relationship with a designated Axiom Account Manager.
“The User Summit is an important annual event of Axiom Software and ePDS users because the event is an opportunity for the company to hear firsthand what users want and need. “The end-use participation at the Summit is amazing. It’s great to hear, first-hand how the software is being used to solve daily business issues.” says Jeffrey Yagoda, President of Axiom Software. “The information we get each year plays a significant role in the shape of the software and development in the upcoming year.”
